Meredith Salenger
Salenger is a native of California and was born in Malibu. Her passion for acting was performing in front of her loved ones and relatives as an early child. When she was just eight she was taken by her mother to her first acting class. The first part she played was as an orphan singing and dancing in the film Annie directed by John Huston. Salenger was also a part of a variety of television advertisements. Salenger's first starring role was as a character in her role in the Disney movie The Journey of Natty Gann costarring John Cusack and Ray Wise The film was the first US film to receive the coveted gold prize during the Moscow Film Festival. The film also garnered her "Best actress in a Drama" during the Youth in Film Awards for her portrayal as the charming Natty Gann. The actress also appeared in four films prior to turning aged 18. One of these was A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. In the following year, she was accepted to Harvard to further her education.
